Along the way, users will be able to find out a little more about Eyeball, what they do, what work they’ve done, and who their heads are with the clues they pick up in strategic areas. In addition, the puzzles within the site are designed to entertain and enhance the user’s overall experience rather than to frustrate.

Cake is a Singapore based contemporary theatre company committed to creating highly theatrical original works that address modern day concerns and complexities. Thus, in order to fully bring out the identity of Cake’s nostalgic, surreal and avant-garde productions, inspiration for its website design was drawn directly from their productions.

The style and even the music sets the tone to make this website locally distinctive, making the link with Cake’s productions immediately recognisable and appreciated, especially amongst long-time fans. While the execution has been updated to give the visuals a contemporary look and feel, it is the surreal idea of having the viewers move through the site that makes Cake stand out.

Navigation is done by “moving” into the windows located at the centre of each screen as users make their way through the many different and highly interactive sections. This way, we hope to give all users a change to not just view but also experience the same type of surrealistic mood that most of Cake’s productions portray.
